lyrics

high up in the trees, where the branches get fewer
and more precious by the second
the serious jokers roam
tending to the arrows in their heels
stretching their heart strings tween them
plucking unheard tunes of fragile honesties

chuckling weeping creatures
listening to the sound of the times
getting caught in the windharps of their minds
shaking with guilt and regret
trembling with innocence
the only true witnesses
to the angels bashful defecating
and the handsome devils making merry

they´re gonna find you
they´re gonna grind you
they´re gonna find you like they did before
they´re gonna find you
they´re gonna grind you
they´re gonna find you on the second floor
and when they do - they will never ever let you go

in the thinning air
where a smell means much more than a thousand words
and the skins are pervious and poisonous
shed and woven like a sphinx´s plaid
that´s where they fence their secret plumes
to the seventh moon

the armours of conceniency
replaced by the monkhoods shady glory
plucked too many or too few
shiny sticky cracks to fall through
and all the goofball promises
the horrors of wasteful complacency
are but distant drums to them
as they are brimming and beating out
new opportunities into unforged foretimes
where only the vestals cold gaze may reach

far away eyes keeping a close watch
more to see and less to do
roots, shaped into wings
of oblivious dreams
repeating nothing but themselves
and all the differences vanish at the speed of light
slain by moments of truth
and forever forgotten
after they illuminate the abyss
one last time

december boys became january men once again ...

about

The Sunmoth Giessen, Germany

The Nymph only could repeat, the Beloved were transfixed on their reflection. Quite tragic really - quite funny, too.
Krautrock, Americana - who cares: all of it is music.
